NBC's DATELINE Ties for #1 Show of the Night

Friday Primetime Results:

NBC tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 Friday night, with "Dateline NBC" tying for the #1 show of the night on those nets.

"Dateline NBC" (1.2/6 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) grew +20% versus its prior Friday telecast of three weeks ago (1.0 on June 20) and was up +1% in total viewers (6.090 million vs. 6.021 million) to its biggest Friday overall audience since May 30. "Dateline" is #1 in the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, total viewers, adults, men and women 25-54 and other key demographics.

"Dateline" tied for #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49, with a 1.2 rating from 8-10:01 versus a 1.2 for ABC's "20/20" from 10-11).

"Crossbones" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) is up 0.2 of a point or +50% versus its prior telecast in adults 18-49 (with a 0.6 vs. 0.4 on June 27) and up +26% in total viewers (2.758 million vs. 2.194 million). Despite last week's July 4 preemption, "Crossbones" matched its highest 18-49 rating since June 6 (0.9, topping the 0.4 on June 27 and matching its 0.6 on June 20).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.9/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5 with an encore.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an encore).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
