NBCUniversal Announces Senior Advertising Sales Appointments In News Group Organization

NBCUniversal announced today four appointments in its News Group's advertising sales organization. Tom Stevens has been promoted to the newly created role of Senior Vice President, NBCUniversal News Group Sales where he will have strategic oversight of the sales partnerships for NBC News, CNBC and MSNBC to open doors for new client partnerships. Christina Glorioso has joined the company as Senior Vice President, NBCUniversal News Group Advertising Sales Client Solutions, a newly created role, to further develop unique marketing opportunities for clients across the News Group in partnership with relevant NBCUniversal properties. Effective immediately, Stevens and Glorioso will report to Mark Miller, Executive Vice President for Advertising Sales, NBCUniversal News Group, who oversees the News Group Ad Sales division, including strategic sales, pricing and planning, new client development as well as marketing and client solutions.

Additionally, Lynne Kraselsky has joined the NBCUniversal News Group in the new position of Vice President, CNBC Sales where she will be charged with all sales efforts for the network. Filling Stevens' previous role, Ann Scheiner has been promoted to Vice President, Sales for NBC News and MSNBC, expanding her purview to include oversight of advertising sales for NBC News and MSNBC. Also effective immediately, Kraselsky and Scheiner will report to Stevens.

In making the announcement, Mark Miller said, "I'm pleased to be expanding our senior leadership team with these talented executives who have proven experience helping clients develop new ways to reach their customers. These appointments further strengthen our cross-portfolio capabilities and will offer advertisers more opportunities to take advantage of the power of the NBC News portfolio and the larger NBCUniversal portfolio."

Stevens previously served as Vice President, Network News Sales at NBCUniversal with oversight of advertising sales at MSNBC. Prior to joining NBCUniversal, he served 18 years at Turner Broadcasting Sales, Inc. in a variety of senior leadership roles, most recently as Senior Vice President of Sales for the company's regional cable and local broadcast platforms. His role included management of the company's advertising sales in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York with oversight of pricing, planning, sales marketing and promotions, direct response and paid programming.

Glorioso will join NBCUniversal with nearly 20 years of marketing and sponsorship experience, after most recently serving as Chief Marketing Officer at Majesco Entertainment for the past three years. In that role, Glorioso led all aspects of marketing and the development of strategic partnerships and cross promotions for the company. From 2004-2010, Glorioso held multiple stints at Viacom ranging from Vice President, Marketing Promotions, MTV Games and Program Enterprises where she helped launch the Rock Band and Dance Central video game franchises. She also served as Vice President, Viacom Plus, working with Fortune 100 advertisers.At Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, Glorioso served in various marketing roles from 1999-2003, where she marketed and sold sponsorships across the company portfolio.

Kraselsky will join NBCUniversal from ESPN where she was Senior Vice President, International Sales and Sponsorships, having led initiatives for all of ESPN International's multi-media platforms across the world since 2008. From 2006-2008, Kraselsky served as Vice President, East Coast Sales at Reactrix Systems, Inc. where she was charged with growing and identifying new digital business opportunities. In 2002, Kraselsky founded LK Sales Consulting and Project Management, serving as Vice President, Corporate Partnerships for the XPrize Foundation, a premier not-for-profit prize institute, and as Vice President, Sales and Corporate Partnerships for Wannado Entertainment, launching America's first intellectually based role-playing theme park for kids. From 1987-2001, Kraselsky held multiple roles at Turner Broadcasting, Inc. where she launched CNN International's Asia-Pacific ad sales office in Hong Kong, led sales and sponsorship for the Southern European, Israel, Middle East and Africa region from CNN's London office.

Scheiner was promoted from Director, Advertising Sales, CNBC where she managed the New York Sales team and overall brand positioning. From 2001-2012, Scheiner served as Account Executive, Primetime and Specials at NBCUniversal. In this role, Scheiner helped increase the company's sales through cross platform partnerships. Prior to that role, Scheiner held Account Executive positions at NBC News (1999-2001) and MSNBC (1996-1999). Scheiner joined NBCUniversal in 1994, where she held multiple sales roles throughout the company's cable divisions from 1994-1996.
