NBCSN Airs Game 2 of the Western Conference Final Tonight

NBCSN presents Game 2 of the Western Conference Final tonight at 8 p.m. ET, when David Backes and the St. Louis Blues host Joe Thornton and the San Jose Sharks, as San Jose looks to even the series at one game apiece.

Kenny Albert (play-by-play), Joe Micheletti (analyst), and Brian Boucher ('Inside-the-Glass') will have the call of tonight's Sharks-Blues Game 2 matchup from Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo.

Pre-game coverage begins tonight at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN with NHL Live. Liam McHugh hosts tonight's studio coverage alongside analysts and former players Mike Milbury, Jeremy Roenick, and Anson Carter.

WESTERN CONFERENCE FINAL GAME 2 - SHARKS AT BLUES - TONIGHT AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN - BLUES LEAD SERIES 1-0

The Blues took Game 1 at home by a score of 2-1, despite being outshot in the game 32-23 by the Sharks.Brian Elliott was the difference-maker in the game, allowing only one goal on a shot that was deflected twice and credited to Sharks forward Tomas Hertl. Jori Lehtera scored the eventual game-winner midway through the second period for his second career playoff goal. David Backes also scored for St. Louis and registered 11 hits, just three hits shy of the entire total for San Jose in the game (14).

This marks the Sharks' fourth-ever appearance in the Western Conference Final, and they've faced a 0-2 deficit in the previous three series, which they went on to lose. Teams that have faced a 0-2 deficit in the Conference Finals have a 7-74 series record all-time.


PENGUINS-LIGHTNING GAME 1 IS NBCSN'S MOST-WATCHED CONFERENCE FINAL GAME 1 ON RECORD

NBCSN's presentation of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final featuring the Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins last Friday was NBCSN's most-watched Conference Final Game 1 ever, averaging 1.718 million viewers. Viewership peaked in the 9:30-9:45 p.m. ET quarter hour with over two million viewers (2.065 million).

NBCSN's coverage of Sharks-Blues Game 1 on Sunday averaged 1.645 million viewers to rank as the third-most watched Conference Final Game 1 ever on the network (out of 14 games). Viewership of Sharks-Blues peaked in the 9:45-10 p.m. ET quarter hour with nearly two million viewers (1.994 million).
