Monica Barabaro has joined Tony Danza and Josh Groban in Netflix's new dramedy THE GOOD COP, as reported by Deadline. The show has been ordered for 10 episodes straight-to-series. MONK creator and executive producer Andy Breckman, Randy Zisk and Howard Klein will executive produce the show along with Israeli production company Yes. Danza will also serve as a producer.

Zisk will direct the first episode of the series. The show is set to begin filming in New York later this year.

The show will follow Tony Sr. (Danza) as a disgraced former NYPD cop who lives with his son Tony Jr. (Groban) who is a successful, anxious NYPD detective. The father-son duo team up not only on Tony Jr's cases, but on his love life as well.

Barbaro joins as Cara Vasquez, a new detective on the Homicide Task Force. She doesn't play by the rules, much to the demise of her perfectionist partner, TJ Caruso.

Barbaro starred on the NBC drama CHICAGO JUSTICE and now recurs as that same character on CHICAGO PD. She was also a series regular on the second season of UNREAL. Her upcoming projects include a four episode arc for the new ABC comedy SPLITTING UP TOGETHER.
