Michael Phelps & More Highlight NBC Sports' Olympic Sports Coverage This Weekend

NBC Sports Group presents coverage of several Olympic sports this weekend, highlighted by the Arena Pro Swim series from Orlando, Fla., beginning tomorrow, Friday, Mar. 4, at 10 pm. ET on Universal HD and continuing live this Saturday, Mar. 5, at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
Notable Americans competing this weekend include six 2012 Olympians: Michael Phelps (100m butterfly, 200m individual medley), the most decorated Olympian of all time with a total of 22 medals; four-time Olympic gold medalist and world record holder in the 200m backstroke Missy Franklin (100m backstroke and 200m backstroke); Katie Ledecky (800m freestyle), an Olympic gold medalist and nine-time world champion who holds three world records; three-time Olympic gold medalists Allison Schmitt (200m freestyle) and Nathan Adrian (100m freestyle); and Matt Grevers (100m backstroke), a four-time Olympic gold medalist. This weekend's event in Orlando is the third stop of seven on the Arena Pro Swim Series circuit for 2015-16. There are 49 countries expected to compete this weekend, with 17 Olympic medalists who have combined to win 40 Olympic golds and 72 Olympic medals overall. Heading into tomorrow night's telecast, Team USA holds the overall lead in the competition ahead of China, Scotland and Japan. Last week's episode showcased Team USA vs. Scotland in mixed doubles, as the pair of Sarah Anderson and Korey Dropkin defeated Scotland by a score of 10-2. This week's finale will feature the men's, women's and mixed doubles Team USA squads as they vie to secure the American Cup. NBCSN will also air an encore presentation tonight at 11 p.m. ET.
