Lester Holt to Host NBC NIGHTLY NEWS from Havana Tomorrow

A team of NBC News journalists will be on the ground in Cuba on Friday as the American flag is raised over the U.S. Embassy in Havana.

"NBC Nightly News" anchor Lester Holt and chief foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell will join correspondent Gabe Gutierrez and NBC News Latino managing editor Sandra Lilley for multiplatform coverage on the NBC broadcast network, MSNBC, NBCNews.com, and social media.

On Friday morning, NBC News will provide a Special Report to cover the historic flag-raising ceremony. Savannah Guthrie will anchor from New York, joined by Holt and Mitchell reporting live from Havana.

Mitchell, who has closely covered the complex U.S.-Cuban relationship for decades, will interview Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday and anchor MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports" live from Havana at noon ET.

Holt will anchor "NBC Nightly News" live from Havana at 6:30pm ET.
