IRON MAN 3 Extended Clip to Debut on 2013 MTV MOVIE AWARDS, 4/14

Tony Stark will crash the biggest party of the year as MTV today announced it will exclusively debut an extended scene from the highly anticipated film, Marvel's "Iron Man 3," during the "2013 MTV Movie Awards" LIVE on Sunday, April 14, at 9:00 pm ET/PT. Immediately following the televised premiere, the extended clip will be available for exclusive viewing on MTV.com. The "2013 MTV Movie Awards" will air across MTV's global network of more than 60 channels reaching more than a half-billion households around the world.

Marvel's "Iron Man 3? pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, Marvel's "Iron Man 3? is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel's iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of "Tales of Suspense" (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with "The Invincible Iron Man" (#1) in May of 1968.

"Iron Man 3" is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures and DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios' President Kevin Feige is producing and Jon Favreau, Louis D'Esposito, Charles Newirth, Victoria Alonso, Stephen Broussard, Alan Fine, Stan Lee and Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film releases May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. "Marvel's The Avengers" is nominated for four MTV Movie Awards, including "Best Movie," "Best On-Screen Duo," "Best Villain" and "Best Fight."

The "2013 MTV Movie Awards" will serve as the official kick off to the Summer Blockbuster season with rising superstar and host Rebel Wilson set to go off and deliver the show's trademark irreverent celebration of the movies, actors and music that audiences love LIVE. Wilson will be joined by MTV's Inaugural "Comedic Genius Award" recipient Will Ferrell, who is nominated for "Best On-Screen Duo" with Zach Galifianakis for "The Campaign," "Trailblazer Award" recipient Emma Watson who is nominated in three categories including "Best Female Performance," "Best Kiss" and "Best Musical Moment" for her role in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," along with special musical performances by a reunited "Pitch Perfect" cast, Selena Gomez and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Brad Pitt, Peter Dinklage, Steve Carell, Melissa McCarthy, Zac Efron, Kerry Washington, Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Amanda Seyfried, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Kim Kardashian, Liam Hemsworth, Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto are confirmed to present. Additional presenters will be announced at a later date.

As in previous years, the category of "Movie of the Year" will remain an ongoing battle throughout the 22nd annual "2013 MTV Movie Awards" telecast.
