GMA is No. 1 for First Full Week of May Sweep

ABC News' "Good Morning America" ranked No. 1 during the first full week of the 2013 May sweep in both Total Viewers (5.617 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.050 million), according to Nielsen Media Research. For the week of April 29, 2013, "GMA" outperformed NBC's "Today" (4.663 million and 1.947 million, respectively) by +954,000 Total Viewers and by +103,000 Adults 25-54, leading the morning's No. 2 morning program by its largest Total Viewer margin in 9 weeks and best in the demo in 8 weeks - since w/o 2/25/13 and w/o 3/4/13, respectively. Additionally, GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo! reached 23 million users in March 2013. It is the No. 1 morning news website and beats Today.com by millions of users each month.
Leading all 31 weeks of the 2012-13 season to date, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 every week in Total Viewers for more than eight months (the last 37 weeks - since w/o 8/13/12) and in 42 of the last 44 weeks (behind "Today" only during the 2 weeks of the 2012 Summer Olympics). Further, "GMA's" 37 consecutive weeks at the top stand as its longest stretch at No. 1 in more than 21 years - since before the 1991-92 season; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991. In Adults 25-54, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 in 25 of 31 weeks, representing the program's highest number of No. 1 finishes in a season in the key adult news demo in 20 years - since the 1992-93 season. "GMA" improved on the same week last year in Total Viewers (+9% - 5.168 million on w/o 4/30/12) to see year-to-year improvement in all 31 weeks this season.
