Evelyn Rubio to Release New Spanish-Language Album, Return to Mexico Stage
The eleven-track album, co-produced with Alfredo Mendez, streams on radio and digital platforms worldwide.
Houston-based singer and saxophonist Evelyn Rubio has released a new album, 'Evelyn Rubio,' which is entirely in Spanish. The album is now streaming around the globe. Eleven songs, all in Spanish, co-produced by Alfredo Mendez and Evelyn Rubio, are making the rounds on all forms of radio including terrestrial, satellite, internet and subscription platforms.
Evelyn shares, 'I really wanted to release a collection of songs all in Spanish. When I met with Alfredo Mendez we decided to give it a try. The result pleases us and we are hoping that listeners around the world enjoy it too.'
In support of the new album, Evelyn returns to the stage in Mexico with the ever popular La Rambla Band on August 28th. Prior to the festival, on August 26th, Evelyn will host a press and radio show at McGonigel's Mucky Duck in Houston.
Additionally, Evelyn has been tapped to be a part of The Big Easy Allstars, which will be performing at the famed club, The Big Easy, on August 22nd. Next up, on September 12th, Evelyn returns to join Randy Wall's tribute to Pink Floyd at Dan Electros in Houston. Two days later, September 15th, Evelyn joins her good friend Al Staehely at McGonigel's Mucky Duck also in Houston. Rounding out September, on the 19th, The Evelyn Rubio Band performs for the evening at the world famous The Big Easy Club. Additionally, Ms. Rubio will be in Robert Cristian Jordan's soon to be released video production of 'It's Raining Men.'

About Evelyn
Evelyn is an accomplished songwriter, vocalist, sax player and actress born in Mexico City who began breaking down musical and gender barriers at an early age. Her determination combined with multiple talents led her from the barrio to both American and European audiences. Today Evelyn resides in Houston Texas and performs on stages both domestically and internationally. It was the late great blues band leader Calvin Owens that wanted to release a blues album in Spanish and chose Evelyn to both sing and play sax on the release. The album would open the door and further reduce barriers due to gender, nationality and language. 'Perfect' delivers a marvelous multi genre presence that once again reinforces the emergence of women in music.
