David Brewer Elevated to SVP, Program Strategy & Acquisitions, Bravo & Oxygen Media

David Brewer has been elevated to Senior Vice President of Program Strategy and Acquisitions, Bravo & Oxygen Media, it was announced today by Jerry Leo, Executive Vice President, Program Strategy, Lifestyle Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, to whom he will continue to report. Based in New York, Brewer's expanded role includes the strategic program planning of original series, acquisitions, specials and library content for Bravo and Oxygen.

Previously Vice President, Strategic Program Planning, Brewer will continue to supervise all functions of the Bravo and Oxygen Program Planning Department and serve as the programming conduit to Sales, Marketing, International and Communications to maximize programming opportunities across all platforms.

"David's programming expertise and unique vision have proven invaluable to our brands and to our department," said Leo. "His accomplishments, instincts and knowledge of the industry all play a key role in our success."

During his tenure at Bravo, Brewer has been instrumental in the planning of high-rated series launches and record-breaking cycles of "The Real Housewives" franchise, "Top Chef," "Below Deck," "Southern Charm," "Vanderpump Rules" and original scripted series "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce," and "Odd Mom Out." In addition, he was one of the strategists for the successful expansion of the network's original programming slate to six nights a week, and helping keep Bravo in the top 10 among all ad supported cable entertainment networks pacing six years in a row in P25-54 and four years in a row in P18-49. On the Oxygen side, Brewer has helped guide the network's popular "Crime Time" block, which has seen double-digit year-over-year growth.

Prior to joining Bravo and Oxygen, Brewer began his career as an NBC Page. Brewer is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. He currently resides in Westchester County with his wife and daughter.
