CBS THIS MORNING is the only network morning news broadcast to add viewers (+3%, 3.79m from 3.67m) and grow in key women demographics year-to-year, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending May 13. CBS THIS MORNING showed double-digit percentage growth in women 25-54 (+22%, 1.1/08 from 0.9/07) and women 18-49 (+33%, 0.8/07 from 0.6/06) compared to last year. CBS THIS MORNING also maintained its rating in adults 25-54 (0.9/08) compared to last year. ABC posted year-to-year declines across-the-board for the week ending May 13: -6% in viewers, -13% in adults 25-54, -15% in women 18-49 and -14% in women 25-54, compared to last year. NBC is also down in key measures: -3% in viewers, -6% in adults 25-54, -10% in women 25-54 and -13% in women 18-49, compared to last year.
Season-to-date, CBS THIS MORNING is the only network morning news broadcast to post gains, while ABC and NBC decline, according to Nielsen most current ratings. CBS THIS MORNING is up +8% in viewers (3.67m from 3.38m) and +17% in women 18-49 (0.7/06 from 0.6/06) compared to last season. CBS THIS MORNING is even in both adults 25-54 (0.9/07) and women 25-54 (1.0/07) compared to last season. ABC delivered double-digit percentage declines in all measures: -10% in viewers, -18% in adults 25-54, -14% in women 25-54 and -13% in women 18-49, compared to last season. NBC is also down across-the-board: -3% in viewers, -6% in adults 25-54, -5% in women 25-54 and -7% in women 18-49 compared to last season. CBS THIS MORNING has grown its audience for 43 consecutive months while ABC has declined 24 consecutive months and NBC has declined 23 consecutive months in year-over-year comparisons. ABC has not experienced year-over-year monthly gains since April 2014 and NBC has not posted gains since May 2014.Videos
