The Union Project Dance Company has been invited to perform in one of the most prestigious dance festivals of the country, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival Inside/Out Series. The festival happens every summer for 3 months in Becket, MA . The Union Project will be the 1st LA based company to perform in the Inside/Out stage since 2006.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton are excited to announce the main company's 2015–16 season performances in Chicago. For three nights only, after hours at the American Museum of National History, the spotlight was put on climate change. However, this issue was not presented through demonstration, lecture, or film, but rather through dance. With a narration written and performed by biologist Paul Ehrlich and support from Museum Curator Rob DeSalle, Karole Armitage's On the Nature of Things creatively showed the emotional dimension of a global yet intimate topic.

Ballet Hispanico has announced that artistic director Eduardo Vilaro has been recognized as an outstanding artist living or working in Westchester County through ArtsWestchester's 50th anniversary initiative '50 for 50.' The fifty artists were selected through a competitive nomination process for the quality of their artistic work and their cultural contributions to the community. All artists will receive $1,000 prizes at an ArtsWestchester luncheon on April 16, 2015.

Eugene Lang College and New York Live Arts are dedicated to emphasizing research and experimentation within the movement-based arts. This partnership features seasonal performances including premieres of original dance works created by guest choreographers. The spring performances will highlight choreographers Joanna Kotze (Movement Research Artist-In-Residence) and Rebecca Stenn (Lang faculty). It will also feature work generated by Juliette Mapp's Improvisation and Creative Practice course, as well student created works. All works will be performed by students of the Eugene Lang College dance program.

Taking place this weekend, April 3 and 4, 2015 at The Dance Center, 1306 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, B-Rooted features local, national and internationally recognized artists, including members of Venus Fly, established in 2005 as one of the first all-styles crews in the Midwest and first female all-styles crews in the U.S., and NINJACHURCH, a locally based all-elements crew with members spread across the world. All events are free and open to the public.
