Tony Award-winning tap dancer and choreographer (Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk) Savion Glover returns to scorch the Merrill stage in his first Portland appearance in over a decade. His new production, STePz, is an exuberant celebration of tap dance that pays homage to tap masters, while cementing Glover's own place in history. "There is nothing boring about his dancemaking...watching his latest piece is like going on every ride at the carnival" (The New Yorker). In STePz Glover not only exhibits his mastery, he also reveals his wit and his joy in performing. Backed by an electrifying soundtrack that includes the music of Prince, Stevie Wonder and John Coltrane, Glover and his ensemble of virtuosic dancers take tap dance to new heights - and levels.

The performance is scheduled Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 7:30pm, Merrill Auditorium, Portland. Tickets are $50, $40, and $30. Members save 10% off full-priced tickets. Student Deal: $20
