A Shakespearean tragedy not seen in Buffalo in over half a century will finally see the footlights in a new production at the Road Less Traveled Theater. Road Less Traveled Productions will raise the curtain on William Shakespeare's Antony & Cleopatra on Friday, October 22, in a new adaptation by RLTP Resident Playwright Jon Elston. The show will run through Sunday, November 14.

After a record setting 19 month award-winning run in Los Angeles, The Marvelous Wonderettes opened to rave reviews from the New York critics, running off Broadway another 15 months there (one of the longest off Broadway runs in history). 'Cheapjack Shakespeare: The Non-Musical', a stage comedy based on the webcomic by Shaun McLaughlin and produced by Gabriel Benson opened this weekend to record attendance. Opening night was the largest fall opening in the history of the Alt Theatre and subsequent nights have been sold out.

COME FLY AWAY will conclude its Broadway run on Sunday, September 5 at the Marquis Theatre (1535 Broadway at 46th Street) after 26 previews and 187 regular performances. Conceived, choreographed, and directed by Tony Award-winner Twyla Tharp and featuring vocals by Frank Sinatra, COME FLY AWAY will launch a national tour in May, 2011 in Chicago. More details on this extensive, multi-city national tour will be announced at a later date.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) has announced its schedule of public development readings of plays developed in the 2010 Emanuel Fried New Play Workshop (NPW). 2010's NPW reading series includes readings of new plays by Annette Daniels Taylor, Michael Fanelli, Alex Livingston, Justin Karcher, James Marzo, Shawn McLaughlin, Steve Roylance, Vincent Scarsella, Darryl Schneider, Melody Von Smith, and Neil Wechsler, as well as RLTP Resident Playwright, Literary Director, and NPW Founder and Moderator Jon Elston.
