Buffalo native, Broadway actor and film star Stephen McKinley Henderson will be the guest of honor at a Saturday, April 30, 2011 special event hosted by Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP). The April 30th event, An Evening with Stephen McKinley Henderson, will feature an intimate look into Henderson's life and work. Henderson also will attend the RLTP Annual Spring Gala on Saturday, May 14, 2011.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) today announced it will present its second annual Buffalo Young Writers night on Wednesday, May 25th at 7:00pm at The Road Less Traveled Theater. The event features winners of the 2011 Buffalo Young Writers contest, developed by RLTP to recognize outstanding student playwrights in the WNY area between the ages of 17 and 22.

Road Less Traveled Productions unveiled its WNY premiere production of Stephen Adly Guirgis' The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot on Friday, April 22, 2011. Guirgis, who is RLTP's 2011 American Theatre Master, will appear in person at the Road Less Traveled Theater on Saturday, May 14th to help celebrate RLTP's 2011 Spring Gala. Tony Award nominated actor Stephen McKinley Henderson, who starred in the 2005 Off-Broadway world premiere of the play, will also appear at the May 14th Gala, as well as at a special event, An Evening With Stephen McKinley Henderson, at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery on Saturday, April 30th.

The Eastman School of Music will hold its' 6th Annual Women in Music Festival from March 21-25 in conjunction with Women's History Month. The mission of the festival is to promote and present the significant contributions of women in music through performance, education, and advocacy. The weeklong celebration includes concerts, master classes, lectures and presentations. Festival goers will have the opportunity to hear the work of some of music's notable composers such as Tania Leon and Lili Boulanger, as well as the world premiere of Exultet Terra, a commissioned piece by Eastman composer-in-residence Hilary Tann.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) today announced a one-night-only, 'consenting-adults-only,' live performance benefit event scheduled for March 10, 2011. The event, RLTP's An Evening of Dirty Jokes will offer patrons a wide array of entertainment including comedy, live music, burlesque dancing, and 'old school arcade gaming.'

Bogie & Bergman do Buffalo in the Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) presentation of A.R. Gurney's Screen Play, making its Western New York (WNY) premiere at the Road Less Traveled Theater on March 4th, 2011. The play, which opened in NYC in 2005, updates the popular 1943 film Casablanca to a WNY of the near future, in which Buffalo becomes the last stop for political refugees fleeing to Canada.

Byron W. Brown, Mayor of the City of Buffalo, has proclaimed February 8, 2011 'A.R. Gurney Day' in honor of famed Buffalo-born playwright A.R. Gurney on the occasion of the opening night of his new play Black Tie. Gurney was surprised with the honor during the curtain call of the opening night performance when the official proclamation was read aloud by Black Tie cast member Gregg Edelman onstage.

In accordance with its ongoing commitment to support original theatre and as part of its mission to reach an increasingly broader theatergoing audience, Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) today announced a new, late-night theatre program, RLTP: Blacklight, will launch next season. RLTP: Blacklight will run at 10:30PM every Friday and Saturday night of RLTP's main production season, following the normally scheduled season selection. RLTP: Blacklight is the invention of co-Program Directors Drew McCabe and Justin Karcher, under the supervision of RLTP Artistic Director and founder Scott Behrend.
