BURLESQUE TO BROADWAY Comes to Kelowna

 

With one show-stopping number after another, Burlesque to Broadway splashes onto the stage, starring Quinn Lemley, star of the critically acclaimed THE HEAT IS ON!

Celebrating the life of Rita Hayworth, her two sexy sidekicks, Gracie (played by Natalie Loftin Bell) and Raz (Jane Bunting) and a sizzling 10-piece big band musical direction, W Brent Sawyer directed by Tony Award winner, Joseph Hardy. Choreographed from Buffalo's own, Merete Muenter. Audiences of all ages are in for a good time!

Quinn and her girls, transport you into the world of Minsky's, The Ziegfeld Follies and classic Broadway in this fast-paced theatrical concert celebrating, through music and dance, the women who went from Burlesque, Broadway and Beyond.

Burlesque to Broadway dazzles audiences with sequined and feathered costumes, hard hitting music from Ruth Etting to Tom Jones that have become the American Standard, and the classic jokes and pokes of the era. Quinn Lemley is a throwback to the era of classic nightclub. She celebrates the 'queen of comedy' Fanny Brice, Sally Rand and her fan, Gypsy Rose Lee, Mae West, Sophie Tucker and others that defined burlesque and illuminated Broadway. Burlesque gave these women the American dream, to earn a living, see the world and for the lucky, create a legacy.
