The Glow Overhead plays on the Bratton Theater stage at the Chautauqua Institution.

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC) and the Chautauqua Writers' Center have proudly partnered on their third new play commission, coming July 22 to the Bratton Theater stage.  This year's commission, The Profane, is written by the celebrated CTC New Play Workshop alum Zayd Dohrn (Sick - 2008, Muckrakers - 2012).  Directed by CTC Artistic Director Vivienne Benesch and playing July 22 - 31 at the Chautauqua Institution. Tickets are $35 and are currently on sale.

He's looking for love, but soon realizes that the other patrons are looking for something a little more... temporary. With some guidance, Billy soon learns the ins and outs of bathhouse etiquette. Taking cues from crowd-pleasers like Forever Plaid and Naked Boys Singing, Bathhouse: The Musical! promises loads of laughs, original songs, four guys in towels, and a bit of heart.

MusicalFare is very proud to announce its 2016-2017 Subscription Season of Musicals: A Season of Personalities. Between them, our five shows have won 9 Tony Awards!  The season begins with the classic American musical, GYPSY followed by the Regional Premier of TENDERLY: THE ROSEMARY CLOONEY MUSICAL, and the Duke Ellington revue, SOPHISTICATED LADIES.  The season concludes with the smash-hit, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET and the World Premiere Musical, PRETTY/FUNNY.    Plus, patrons can enjoy all of this along with upcoming performances in our Premier Center Cabaret.
