The New England Jazz Collaborative celebrates the release of its debut album Tributaries with a concert featuring works by member composers Jeremy Cohen, Darryl Harper, Matan Rubinstein and Sam Spear. The program includes a selection of music from the album, which showcases six new works for big band spanning New Orleans swing, elegant balladry, Third Stream fusion and West African highlife. The ensemble is conducted by Ken Schaphorst and features musicians including Bijon Watson, Allan Chase, Brian Landrus, Eric Hofbauer, Temidayo Balogun and Ellie Pruneau. A pre-show lobby reception at 6 p.m. includes live music, complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
