Neighbors! was developed thanks to grants from the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. It exposes and explores some of the social, religious and cultural prejudices experienced by people of color right here on Cape Cod. The diverse cast of this production includes characters who are African American, Native American, Haitian, Asian, Cape Verdean and Caucasian. Characters who show all of us how to be better “neighbors”. It was written as a collaboration of many writers who shared their own experiences that create the script. Having been staged in various formats as a reading in Cotuit, Wellfeet, Harwich and Orleans to appreciative audiences, this is the first fully produced production of “Neighbors”. “Neighbors” was developed by Dennis poet and playwright, Judith Partelow, and is directed by Mark Bishop, an Eventide Theater Company board member. This is Bishop’s first production at Eventide.
Eventide Theatre Company is at 713 Main Street, Dennis, MA, Dennis, MA.
