Lessons Learned at the Time of My Life at The Company Theatre

A brand-new one-woman show by performer and comedian Denise Fennell blending comedy, storytelling, music and audience interaction. The show looks back at growing up as a Gen X latchkey kid and forward to the unexpected experience of marrying at 50 and becoming a bonus parent to two teenagers. Structured as a series of monologues, it explores parental warnings, neighborhood experiences and generational touchstones, along with more poignant themes of family, midlife and grief. Set against the backdrop of a 1970s basement, the production is a hybrid of theater, stand-up and storytelling.
