Commonwealth Shakespeare Company marks its 30th Anniversary season with William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Founding Artistic Director Steven Maler at the Parkman Bandstand on Boston Common, July 22 through August 9, 2026. The production transports Shakespeare's classic comedy to a neon-lit festival setting, where young lovers are drawn together and torn apart by forces beyond their control, as Puck and his fairy band remix hearts with enchanted nectar. The cast includes Nick Cearley of The Skivvies as Puck, alongside Nora Eschenheimer as Titania/Hippolyta, De'Lon Grant as Theseus/Oberon, Karen MacDonald as Quince, and Paul Melendy as Bottom, among others.
