Broadway Comes To The Cape brings their first offering, Rock Of Ages, to the Tilden Arts Center starting May 12. The production will benefit Cape Cod Child Development. The 5 time TONY nominated musical just finished their 6 year Broadway run last year.

It's the tail end of the big, bad 1980s in Hollywood, and the party has been raging hard. Aqua Net, Lycra, lace and liquor flow freely at one of the Sunset Strips last legendary venues, a place where sex machine Stacee Jaxx takes the stage and scantily clad groupies line up to turn their fantasies into reality. Amidst the madness, aspiring rock star (and resident toilet cleaner) Drew longs to take the stage as the next big thing (and longs for small-town girl Sherri, fresh off the bus from Kansas with stars in her eyes). But the rock and roll fairy-tale is about to end when German developers sweep into town with plans to turn the fabled Strip into just another capitalist strip mall. Can Drew, Sherri and the gang save the strip-and themselves-before it's too late? Only the music of hit bands Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and more hold the answer.

The production will feature Sam Dowling (Kinky Boots, Rock Of Ages) as Drew, Anthony Logan Cole (Les Miserables) as Lonny, performer and recording artist Joel Mingo (Miles From Home) as Dennis, and international recording artist Brady Cudmore as Franz, with Izzy Archer as Sherry, Sonia Schonning as Justice, Sean Mac as Hertz, Addie Schonning as Regina and Rob Minshall as Stacee Jaxx. The cast is rounded out by Kevin Keneally, Nora Cannaday, Hannah Carrita, Nick Romano, Celia Cota, Dan Reilly and Tala Schonning. The Rock Of Ages band under the music direction of Rick Schonning and Music Supervision by Nicole Sjolin includes guitarists Matt San Giovanni and Steve Felton, Jim Sanborn on bass, and Laura Hamel on drums.

Cape Cod Child Development's mission is to provide world-class child and family focused programs that nurture each child's full potential. The serve in need and at risk families in Cape Cod with education and family services. They serve thousands of family's throughout Cape Cod and the islands.

This benefit production will be directed by Sonia Schonning and assisted by Anthony Logan Cole. Lighting and sound design by Christina Verde and Green Lite Productions. Tickets are available for donation. The production runs 5 performances through May 14. Tickets are available at http://cccdp.org/children/events/
