The 39 Steps :9 It was very boring and the cast had almost no energy. Plus it was between that and Title of show but the other people I was with begged and pleaded to not see title of show. I REALLY want to see title of show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most recently GREASE!
When I lived in DC we were so excited to go see just about anything...so it's hard to compare. I didn't really care for "The Who's Tommy" back in the mid 1990's or for "42nd Street" when I saw it. But, they were the shows that came through DC at that time...so we looked forward to going to see them. "Hot Feet" however, was a different story. I really regretted buying 4 tickets to this.

I don't regret seeing any broadway or national touring shows.

Regional shows, yes, but those are usually free so that's not as bad.

The most recent revival of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Although I've grown to appreciate the show, at the time I didn't enjoy it very much, and I had a choice between that and Side Show, and Side Show is one of the shows that I most regret not seeing.

While I don't regret seeing them by any means, I don't have fond memories of Spring Awakening, A Catered Affair, Movin' Out, The Homecoming, and parts of The Apple Tree.

I didn't really like Wonderful Town..I never laughed when I was supposed to but laughed when things weren't supposed to be funny. Maybe the cast was bad, I'm not sure.

Oh yeah! I forgot "Little Women"- had to choose between this and "La Cage" to go see with my parents. Would have much rather seen La Cage in retrospect.. I thought I'd be uncomfortable seeing it with my father...boy was that dumb. Also had to choose one time bewteen "Grey Gardens" and "Company" and now wish I would have gotten to see "Company"

The last time I saw Rent and Spamalot, they were not in good shape, but I went for my boyfriend. I guess I regret seeing Spring Awakening the most. There was very little I liked about it and there were so many other shows I would have rather seen.

The recent Cat on a Hot Tin Roof revival is the only time I can recall being really MISERABLE watching a Broadway show.

I regret seeing Lion King. I had such high hopes for this show, and aside from the beautiful costumes and the Swahili (and maybe it was Kenyan too) music I was thoroughly disappointed. What a shame. Maybe the quality used to be better, but it certainly wasn't worth $400 for 3 tickets in the orchestra.

I'm pretty sure this thread has been done before, but I'm too lazy to search. Anyway, I don't really regret seeing any shows, because it's fun to be able to say I saw the flops, and as for the shows I hate, there are always friends of mine who like them, so it's fun to be able to argue, having seen them myself.


Having said all of this, I could have done without wasting $50 on "Movin' Out".
