Plot: The story revolves around Harold (Spencer Breslin), a 14-year-old teenager with a very early on-set of male-pattern baldness, and how he adapts to his aging look. Harold befriends his high school's janitor Cromer (Cuba Gooding, Jr.) and has a nerdy best friend (Nikki Blonsky).
I might see the movie just because of Nikki. She seems to have a good role in the film and it looks like we can see some more of her dancing. The rest of the movie seems kind of okay to see. If I see more footage, I might decide. It also looks like Nikki's little brother Joey has a small role as Malcolm.
I don't find the concept funny at all, because I immediately make the connection to kids who lose their hair due to cancer treatments. You think someone would have thought about that before making this... But i don't know, maybe I'm alone in thinking that.
"I think of avant-garde as downtown shows where you rub waffles and chocolate on yourself."- Hunter Bell
Holy Crap. That looks terrible. I dunno what to make of it, it appears to be very very risque and irreverent (all the nudity and sex jokes? boxing a bear?) but it's just...bad looking ...very very bad looking
like the kinda bad that would elicit a serious "who would make this film?" comment.
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
Wow, they are really working that poster aesthetic. First 40 Year Old Virgin, then Knocked Up, then The Rocker and now the almost identical version above.
"I never had theatre producers run after me. Some people want to make more Broadway shows out of movies. But Elliot and I aren't going to do Batman: The Musical." - Julie Taymor 1999
That does look awful, but Blonsky looks kind of adorable even if I tend to find her quite annoying off-camera. I'll definitely skip this one, but hope that it doesn't hurt Blonsky's career.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
