SO did anyone see the nominations? They are up and I have to say I know that some of it is a popularity contest but it is the Audiences who vote... I think it is pretty good.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
They arn't necessarily bogus because they didn't ask for the best, just your favorite. I don't agree with a lot of the nominations, but what can you do? It's not a major award; it's kind of like gimme nominations to shows that people like but critics don't.
I agree, joe5. I was very disappointed. What's with all the YF noms? And no nominations for Passing Strange at all? Really? And where was Boeing-Boeing in the ensemble cast category? Oh well. I suppose it's all in good fun, right?

When I saw this thread I thought the Audience Award was an award for a show with the best audience. Haha, oops... That would be a cool award though just very hard to judge.
"Perhaps, when we remember wars, we should take off our clothes and paint ourselves blue and go on all fours all day long and grunt like pigs."
Kurt Vonnegut, Cat's Cradle
WOW! I did not think it was that hated. I voted and yes some of it was cause I liked them better then others... (AKA the People's Choice Awards) but some of it was pretty cool. I mean I voted for who I liked in the shows I saw....
