She didn't get nominated because she didn't deserve one among the possible nominees. She will likely get a Tony nom for her work in Xanadu. Get over it.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

Two of the nominees are from off-Broadway shows so it's fairly certain she'll get a Tony nomination. For fans of the show, it sucks, but at least Cheyenne got nominated.
Awards-shmwards. If she gets 'em, GREAT! If not, it doesn't take away from her talent nor fanbase.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Either I don't know how to count, or you don't know what's on Broadway vs. off Broadway. Jenna, Faith, Kelli, Patti, and Sierra are all Broadway. Alice Ripley is the only off-Broadway actress on the list, and the Tonys only nominate 5, not 6. For Kerry to get a nod, somebody needs to get bounced. I would love to see Sierra get left off for Kerry.
Well, while I do think she deserved it over Sierra Boggess, her not getting nominated isn't exactly some sort of travesty. Even if she does get the Tony nomination everybody seems to think she deserves, she hasn't a snowball's chance in hell of winning. She shouldn't, at least.

Well, the reason it is kinda absurd that she got snubbed is because Sierra what's-her-name got nominated for LITTLE MERMAID. They should just have nominated Jodi Benson since Boggess just does a carbon copy of Benson's beautiful voice performance in the film.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
I think Sierra is only a carbon copy of Benson in "Part of Your World," which I'm sure she was directed as such. Audiences for this show want familiarity. Her acting and singing overall though, were fantastic. I'm glad she was nominated.
I can't believe she wasn't nominated!! I'm still like "wtf?!?!?". She's so amazing in Xanadu!! U-N-F-A-I-R!!
"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." Sherie Rene Scott
