Great American Trailor Park musical tour

I know it kicks off tonight and I just bought tickets to see it in Allentown PA on March 29th... Does anyone know if this is going to be staged similar to the off broadway production? From the posters I've seen it seems like it will be. I am just curious. It was a shame it closed so early off-broadway. I love this show.

It's coming here, but the website doesn't say the date, and neither does the website for the place it is playing. I want to see it though.

Wow I'm glad I came across this...I had no idea it was touring. I missed it in NY but I love the recording and would love to see a production. Unfortunately, the closest it comes to me is CT...maybe I'll take a little trip?!? Lord knows if anyone around here will produce it anytime soon!

I haven't seen it - but based on the recording (which is GREAT and has an outstanding cast to match), it sounds like it would be quite fun.
The tour kicks off tonight, so I would keep my eye out for some reviews fairly soon.

Trailer Park is such a *fun* show, highly recommend it- I only managed to see it three times before it closed, and I still miss it...

hey my family friend is part of this tour as an ensemble member. shes also the understudies for all the female roles. if anyone has a question of where its going, i have the schedule of where its going, i could post the schedule on here for you all. let me know.

I was totally taken by surprise at this little gem of a show. Saw it in a less than half full theatre but those there had a great time. Provisional casting began in London for a West End production but it never went any further. Great CD.

Really? Tracked music? That's a total turn-off.

Question: Is this considered Equity? I didn't even realize that "off-Broadway" shows had their own little circuit of tours.

Downstairs Cabaret, a semi-professional theatre company out of Rochester, NY, recently produced this show and is now touring it around the country (28 cities in 13 states--per their brochure). Is this the tour we're talking about?

yes it is. it is now in spokane washington at the bing crosby theatre until the jan 13th. then tonasket washington for one night jan 14th at the omak theatre. the 15th of jan is wenatchee washington at great hall. from jan 18th-greeley colorado at union colony, jan 19th ft. collins colorado at lincoln center, jan 20th telluride colorado at the palm theatre. jan 24th-27th in tracey california at grand theatre. jan 31st queen creek, arizona at the PAC. march 2nd arroyo grande, cali at the forbes hall. march 3rd escondido california at the concert hall. march 10th plattville, wi at the platville PAC. march 15th/16th at largo florida at the mainstage. march 19th/20th key west, fl at tennessee williams. march 21st-24th in ft. lauderdale, fl at broward center PAC. March 26th/27th hartford, ct at the belding theatre. feb 1st sandusky ohio at the sandusky state theatre. march 2nd elyria, ohio stocker arts center. march 4th mansfield ohio at the renaissance pac. march 7th sugarloaf, ny at the lycian center. march 8th uniondale, pa at state theatre FTA. march 11/12th washington, nc at turnage theatre. march 13th-16th asheville,nc at diana wortham theatre. from march 17th-22nd they are on layoff and 23rd is easter. march 24th durham, nc at duke uni/ large hall. march 27th-30th allentown, pa at symphony hall. march 31st-may 3rd layoff/tbd. march 7th-11th huntsville, al but no venue announced yet on the schedule i got from my fam friend but there is shows there. other theatres are wilson in jacksonville, fl from may 12th-17th. may 21st-may 30th mckinny pac in mckinny,tx. its also playing at kravis center in west palm bch, fl. check dates there. these are the updates for shows for GATPM.

I actually saw the show last night on its opening night in Spokane, and I thought the show was actually quite brilliant. I saw the original production in New York, and I think this production is right up there with talent. Definitely go see it!

FYI - The Denver production from this past summer was produced just for the Civic, it isn't the tour. The shows composer, David Neels lives out here, and had just finished MDing "...Whorehouse", before moving theatres to work on Trailer Park.
