I think it's actually a good idea to have a thread like this, but the last one seemed to be some kind of joke so I made a new one. Anyway, my top 5 are:
Shubert Gershwin Broadhurst Lunt-Fontanne Broadway Updated On: 1/3/08 at 11:37 PM
The Palace When I was like 13 I saw my first Broadway show there. Also later in life that is where I got to meet Rosie face to face.
The Nederlander This is back to my Renthead days. Although I was there a few months ago and the state of that place kind of made me sad. I still have a lot of great memories in that place though.
The Gershwin I just really like this one.

I like the Palace. I'm 6'5", and I appreciate not being in severe pain while I watch a show . . . like at the Brooks Atkinson, for example. Broadway Blog: In Celebration of Wicked
for sentimental reasons, the nederlander. Gotta love that little piece of sh*t
Anyway sorry if this makes me a bad person but all of the big beautiful ones really just seem the same to me. They're gorgeous and I admire them when I'm there before the show but that's the end of it, really.
I actually was at the Helen Hayes for the first time last night and I thought it was really cute and fitting for the show. I liked how even in the balcony you're very close to the stage.

Definitely agree with Millie with the Wang and Opera House here in Boston. In NYC, Lunt-Fontanne, Palace, and Helen Hayes (and I was most surprised with this one, seeing as Xanadu is a fairly smaller production and this theater is small as well I thought it'd be a dump - a nice surprise)
Without a doubt ... The Mark Hellinger .... oh, please let it become a Broadway house again ... Its such a grand theatre, and that lobby ... nothing else like it on Broadway.
The Nederlander. It's recent state isn't all that great...but it's a great theater all the same:)
The Minskoff. I just think it's a really beautiful theater. I always love going to it:)

I think the Broadhurst could be my favourite...not a bad seat (all too much anyway!), and it's small. & I also like how the Mezz. isn't seperated like the Lunt's and Majestics & probably some others are.
The Gerswhin - It's all fashy & shwank when you walk in, it's really nice.
& Probably the Marquis or the Majestic would be followed after that.
And as for the out of town ones, I really like the Academy of Music (on the outside anyway) in Philadelphia, and I think the DuPont (& Linda Eder agrees!) is probably the most beautiful theatre all together.
