Catch Me If You Can is looking like a hit!  Jul 15 2010, 05:14:46 AM
They have A LOT to fix.

From seeing it in Seattle almost a year ago-- sweet baby Jesus did it need help.

Review, Legally Blonde Tour, January 17th  Jan 23 2009, 04:21:16 PM
Yeah, sorry it's rediculiously late.

Sara Andreas - Brooke

Also, Laura was on as Elle.

Laura: Her acting was great, she changed up some of her line deliveries since I had last seen it in January last year. Her downfall was her voice. When I saw her last it was in tip-top shape, and she hit the last note in 'so much better', but that night, she could barely hold out notes and she went flat in 'so much better'. She needs to be on strict vocal

re: Illegal Peruvian Wicked Production?  Sep 1 2008, 05:50:56 AM
If it was anything like their CATS production... it must have been terrible.

Look here:

It's a hot mess, and after listening to it, my ears are pretty much bleeding.

re: RENT MOVIE- $20??!?!??!  Aug 30 2008, 04:38:49 PM
I think that it might be the same price for the show at every theater. I've checked 3 theaters that are in like a 50 mile radious that are showing it, and all the tickets are 20 bucks.

re: ACL student rush recently?  Aug 9 2008, 06:24:25 AM
I would say if you don't get Student Rush, just go for SRO, because I know you'd get a ticket that way.

re: Thoroughly Modern Millie -- Casting Non-Asians  Aug 9 2008, 06:11:11 AM
As an asian actor, I find this very offensive. When we did millie, we made sure that we had two clearly asian actors. Although it's ok for Mrs. Meers to be white, it's inexcusable for the brothers to be non asian. If you don't have the ethnicities to do the show. Don't do it. It's like Ragtime with a all white cast, or Kim played by a white girl, I just think that it's wrong. Period. As an asian actor, I've really only been cast as my race once, and that was as the Interpretor in The King And

re: West End Revival of 'They're Playing Our Song'  Jul 26 2008, 04:35:19 AM
It's about time there is a revival of this show!
It's one of my favorites. The only downside is that it's extremely dated. I wonder if they are going to make any changes to it.

"And Nikki sings in SOOO much better than Charlotte... "

Dear lord, I'd hope so. Charlottes singing fell short when I saw her perform MATM.

I can't wait to add this to my Gypsy Recordings!

re: The Search for the Next Elle Woods: The Spoiler thread  Jul 1 2008, 11:56:56 AM
For some reason, I REALLY REALLY REALLY like Rhiannon. I know she's not the greatest singer, but geeze, something about her personality is just great. If I were a casting director, I wouldn't cast her as Elle, but i'd definetly cast her as something, anything. She's just a happy person!

re: Favorite Company Cast Recording?  Jul 1 2008, 11:53:04 AM
"That and Tick-Tock is an amazing piece of music that should never be cut. "

I saw a regional production of Company which it had Tick-Tock in it. I'm not sure if it was legal or not. Do they allow people to put the dance back into the show?

Favorite Company Cast Recording?  Jul 1 2008, 06:20:50 AM
I was podering this question while listening to the 1995 revival with Boyd Gains as Bobby. I feel that the 1995 recording represents the show the best, partially because Boyd sings the role of Bobby the best out of all the others. Not to say that I didn't think that Raul did the part justice, because he was phenominal. I just feel that Boyd had a better understanding of where Bobby was at in his life when he was singing "Being Alive". I also enjoy listening to LaChanze's rendition of "Anothe

re: The Search for Elle THOUGHTS! Ep 6  Jul 1 2008, 05:59:17 AM
I'm kinda glad that Emma is gone. I had no idea how she even got into the top ten.

rehearsals begin in July  Jun 9 2008, 04:35:37 AM
Blake is Moritz for the National Tour.

I'm 110% sure.

re: A CHORUS LINE to close August 17  Jun 4 2008, 12:43:43 AM
I'm very upset. A Chorus Line is my favorite show, and it was the 3rd show i've seen on Broadway. I as though it doesn't deserve to close yet, and i'm so shocked. I didnt see this coming at all, and I am so suprised.

The tour is also not coming anywhere near me.

Kate is so wonderful, she's a terrific performer!

re: The Search for Elle THOUGHTS!  Jun 2 2008, 11:59:07 PM
Yeah, Libby even sang "So Much Better" for her senior showcase. I also saw her in Side Show. She is amazing! I was so shocked when she was kicked off.

OMG... I know so many people!

The two Baldwin-Wallicers, Libby and Cassie. They performed at a masterclass that I attended when I auditioned for the school.

And I auditioned for Western and Central Michigan University with Lauren. Such a small world!
