I just saw a commercial for these and they look pretty interesting. Anyone have one?

First off, www.tinyurl.com

Second off, they have to be the stupidest invention ever. Sure, a vacuum, but I'd never put it out as decoration.

"Yeah, look at my nice Kone. See how Koney it is?"

Stupid!

I assume you're not into modern art, Austin?

If that's modern art, then I'm most definitely not into it!

They're marketing it as a kind of coffee table object. Some of the pics even show it on a coffee table in the middle of a room. I know the vacuum itself is cordless. But since the base is a recharger, wouldn't it have a cord? Do they expect you to run a cord from your coffee table across the room to the wall outlet. This might detract from the whole, object d'art aspect of it.

Art has a double face, of expression and illusion.

I have one. I hadn't heard of it at all before I saw it on the shelf at the store, and certainly didn't buy it with the hopes that it would become the center point of my room and add an aesthetically pleasing value. I just thought it looked cool, and at the last second opted to buy it instead of a more functionally reliable dust buster.

Bad decision. My advice is if the kone seems like your idea of must-have modern art, then go for it. If, however, you're looking for a vacuum that actually vacuums well, put your money elsewhere.

Oh, and artscallion, the base does indeed have a cord. Don't know why they thought we'd never realize that when trying to market this as a great coffee table eye-catcher.

Nope. It has a regular old cord. I like mine. It looks better than the original Dirt Devil. It's certainly not on my coffee table. The only think I don't like it the very bright light on it. Not sure what purpose it serves. I guess so you can find it in the dark?
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

It's better looking than the one that mounts to the wall.

If I ever bought one, it'd stay in the closet with the other vacuums.

Definitely not in the closet... Although it's big enough. Our walk in closet is HUGE!

By the way, there's also the Kurv.

I love how "curve" isn't good enough for such a modern invention.

And Ivan knows all my dirty secrets.

Because he forgives my prior indiscretions that happened before we got together?

Why wouldn't anyone like Ivan? He's a sweetheart.
