why are the shows of water for elephants and cuffs and the wiz just getting digit but no cd's we need the cd's too

It's possible they aren't producing physical CDs; unfortunately, it costs money to do that and the number of people who purchase Broadway cast recording CDs is next to none these days.

OP, however, is an avid collector and wishes to add every show's CD to his extensive collection; it is their very special interest.

Sadly, Bryan, I fear it will be increasingly rare for you to obtain every cast recording on CD. I hope the shows you want do release CDs, but the "why" is because "not enough people purchase them to make them a good financial decision for the show."

I  really adore Bryan's enthusiasm on collecting CDs. As someone who also loves physical copies of cast albums, I do hope they keep releasing CDs / or Vinyls (which we started to see it come back in recent years). Sadly, it cost money to do a physical release. Not every show can afford it . Even for those who eventually release a CD, I doubt most of them will make a profit from it. 

 

Let's hope we continue getting physical releases, even if it means we need to wait for months / or years (in the case of Vinyl sometimes) after the digital release.
