I am so "Coffee Shop Nights." Except I'm not an investigator -- but the rest fits pretty darn good.

Even though I am a very happy person, I'd have to say:
"Not A Day Goes By" -Merrily We Roll Along
And as for the song itself, The reprise (as well as the initial) on the Original Broadway Cast Recording, is phenomenal

Not Broadway, maybe someday, but probably something from Zanna, Don't! ... "I Could Write Books", "Someday You Might Love Me" or "Do You Know What It's Like?".

"When I'm not near girl I love I love the girl I'm near" from Finian's Rainbow.
Other than that, did you enjoy the play Mrs Lincoln?

I think of my life as a fusion of "Opening Doors" from Merrily We Roll Along, "Hello Twelve Hello Thirteen Hello Love" from A Chorus Line, "Part Of It All" from [title of show], and "Lullaby of Broadway" from 42nd Street
[title of show] on Broadway. it's time. believe.

Entire LIFE? I haven't lived it all yet. And I certainly don't think I can pin down a few songs that summarize it... but I'll give it a go. With So Little to Be Sure of/Funny Girl (only in the film)/No One is Alone/Saturn Returns/Finishing the Hat! And if "Both Sides Now" ever becomes a showtune, that'll be it. What a medley.

So far, probably "Simple Little Things." But I grow nearer to "Old Maid" as each day passes. HAHA. kind of.

"Will You" from GREY GARDENS, for many reasons. The lyrics are so strikingly meaningful. The melody and the orchestrations are not only absolutely beautiful, but a wonderful reminder of a great era in music. I just love that song. It's crushing.
