And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

You may want to go to wikipedia.com and search for BAT BOY. From what I gather, it's based on a tabloid story.

The Weekly World News has been running stories about the "bat boy" for years.

"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."

"In Oz, the verb is douchifizzation." PRS

The question is, why isn't the rest of media covering this story? Where is the New York Times?

So what is the Bat Boy up to lately? I last heard he was married and raising Bat Children.

If I remember corrrectly, it's pretty silly. Bat Boy's mother is attacked by bats that somehow impregnate her. That's pretty much it. The local production I saw has several stage hands with plastics bat hanging from sticks "attacking" the actress. It was so low-tech that it was just hilarious.

"Do you know ChrisLovesShows?" "Yes. Why, yes he does!"

Im almost 99% positive that Bat Boys Mother is Kaitlin Hopkins. Or whoever plays the Mother in any production.

World Weekly a tabloid ?

They report hard news like the classic baby floating in the ocean inside a Titanic life preserver. How can you doubt the veracity of a newspaper that tackles hard news stories like this?

This sounds like a good thread in itself. They had a few classic Bin laden ones. You read them for a laugh at the supermarket checkout line & put it back if anyone is looking at you

So then, Shelley and Bat Boy can't get married because they both have the same mother - am I correct with that statement then?

Thanks for the info :)

Right now I'm working at a Pharmacy, and we have the WWN up front...I read the headlines every week. This week was:

"Vampire Attacks in Middle East."

Apparently, there are vampires attacking our troops in Iraq! I can't believe Fox News hasn't reported this.

I'm actually thinking about phoning the FBI and telling them who the bat is:

LESTAT!

How to properly use its/it's: Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...

Shelley and Bat Boy are technically twins, they were born at the same time. Dr. Parker raped Meredith because of a pheramone he created and then the bats did as well because of the pheramone.

Am I cut out to spend my time this way?

"Batboy" is actually not the first show based on a Weekly World News covr story. There is a play called "Scotland Road" based on a WWN story from the late 1980's about a young woman wearing 1910 era clothes, found on on an iceberg by Norwegian fishermen, claiming she was a passneger on the Titanic. The play involves a psychicatrist and a Titanic expert questioning her to try and figure out if she could possibly be for real or if it is a hoax.

Susequent WWN stories over the years have included the discovery of Captain Smith, still alive and well, on another iceberg, a baby in a Titanic life preserver, and the skeletons of two men - supposedly gay lovers, locked in a tender embrace in a Titanic life presever.

I know they always left an open seat in the theatre, in case Bat Boy wanted to drop in and see his show.

DG, I remember hearing that. I wonder if he ever came?

I feel so bad for Batboy. I mean, first, he is half bat. Second, he has to live in a cave. And third, he is a man, not a boy, after all these years. Poor guy.
