My step dad is in a musical review and is looking for a male/female duet. They are both around 50 years old and don't have any preferences. Both have very large ranges. Any suggestions? Thanks!

(Martha Graham from a letter to Agnes de Mille) "There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening That is translated through you into action, And because there is only one of you in all time, This expression is unique. If you block it, It will never exist through any other medium And be lost. The world will never have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, Nor how valuable it is, Nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, To keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware Directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, A blessed unrest that keeps us marching And makes us more alive than others."

I too would like to suggest "Timeless To Me."

Still from Titanic was the first thing that popped into my head.

There are many of them from the musical "Follies" as well. They are very beautiful.

"Still" does seem like the most obvious choice.
Also:
"You'll Never Get Away from Me" from Gypsy.
"It Couldn't Please Me More"-Cabaret
"Married"-Cabaret
"Our Children"-Ragtime
"Too Many Mornings"-Follies
"Rain on the Roof"-Follies

How about "Country House". I think it was cut from either "Follies" or "Company". But it showed up in both productions of Putting It Together.

"Still" from Titanic was my first thought also.

Second was "Sunrise Sunset" from Fiddler.

There are some songs from I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change that could be sung at any age, I think.

"I Am Aldolpho" from The Drowsy Chaperone would also be a great piece to show off medium skill in dancing and some great singing and acting/character voice chops!

Thevolleyballer recommended I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and there is a FANTASTIC song in that show for an older couple. It's called "I Can Live with That" and is comic and yet very touching at the same time. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

"Three Sunny Rooms" from RAGS is very sweet and funny. It's my top reccomendation.
