Is it just me or everytime DRS is mentioned no one seems to mention Joanna Gleason. I saw the show in july and loved it so much. I escpially love Joanna and every scene she was in. For me she stole the entire show espically with the number "What was a woman to do?" Plus she seems so funny and the type of person who would be great to hang out and laugh with.
So for this thread I have decided to show my support for Ms. Gleason and the great work she has done in DRS, Into the Woods and in other mediums including her great stint on "The West Wing".

I adore her. Such a great wit to her performances.

To me, nobody has ever been able to match the blend of comedy and drama that she brought to The Baker's Wife.

I couldn't agree more. The Bakers Wife was by far the best part of Into The Woods. I love the show, it's one of my favorites, and Bernadette was amazing, but Joanna stole the show. Her acting is superb, as it is in everything she does, but I would love a solo album. I absolutely love her voice.

She's a doll - absolutely WONDERFUL in this show! For an insight into just how funny she and the other cast members really are, take a look at this video:

Joanna may have gotten a few negative vibes from stage door fans who resented the fact that she didn't come out to sign their Playbills. I understand that it just makes her uncomfortable and so she chooses not to do it. I can tell you from personal experience, just send her your Playbill and she'll sign it and get it back to you right away.

Sometimes people forget that despite being on stage everyday, some actors are painfully shy.

I love her! She was amazing in ITW and although I've never seen her in DRS, she sounds like her same old wonderful self on the cd. Joanna love!

I have Nick and Nora on right now! :)

She's wonderful -- in DRS, anywhere. I just think in DRS she ends up being overshadowed by others, but she is nonetheless great.

"What was ..." is one of my favorite songs from that show. My favorite is the overture.

She is a great performer. Anyone who didn't see her in into the woods needs to go and get the video!

She's one of the nicest, sweetest, most amazing performers I've ever had the joy of working with.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, I love Joanna. She just seems to have the best personality from what I've seen. I first saw her on the West Wing, great performance.

Love her. She has such great comic timing. I think that she was my favorite part of Into the Woods, and managed the huge feat of stealing the show from Bernadette.

I adore Joanna, first through the Into the Woods tape and now in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. I'm rather surprised you think no one who sees DRS mentions her, I mean Norb gets mentioned the most but in most reviews I read all of the 5 gets mentioned. Nonetheless, she is wonderful, and brings a great quirk to the role.

I designed the costumes for a benefit in LA that she was in. My assistant was obsessed by her, and I got them to take a picture together.

She was nothing but a doll.

My assistant STILL talks about it!

I LOVE Joanna Gleason! For me she was the best part in DRS because I was SO excited about finally seeing her live, after seeing ITW so many times on video....She was phenomenal, and I couldn't wait for her to be back on stage.
