Wow. I'm surprised Adam Fleming didn't get it. I bet Richard was kicking himself after turning down the understudy role originally. I saw the "Saturday Night Fever" tour in DC and it wasn't pretty!!!

A.) I know the script.. I own it B.) I know the choreo C.) I can amcth Morrison, Fleming, and Hill note for note... haven't heard Martin as Link yet.. D.) I have NEVER beena fan of Richard's..... he was disappointing in FEVER.. if they HAD to give it toa former Tony, why not Sean Palmer.. if they HAD to give it to a former Mark/Roger.. why not Ashton Holmes?? E.) Richard in those shorts?? My GOD! Please make him shave those legs!!!!! EEEWWW!!!! F.) Is this suddenly a Weissler production of GREASE!?? Rich can't pass for a high schooler student if his life depended on it!
OK, I'll take your word for it (with regards to Richard's picture).
With regards to auditioning for Link...be persistent. In my acting days, I mailed my picture to the Les Miz people every week and then one day they called. Though I never got in, I was called in periodically after that.
Break a leg!!!

I knew he was going but it's still sad to read it in print .
Richard looks a little old to be playing a high school student at least in the picture they have of him he does. Not as old as the tour Seaweed but still He looks to old. At least Adam looks the age and he has done the part before.
Oh well, I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.

i gotta say the original is okay in the role, but not the "typecasting" i expected. The road cast with Austin Miller is closer in expression and look to what Link appears to be written for. i'm not saying that Matt's uninteresting, or untalented. He just didn't fit the "surface picture" of the character as Harvey or Mary or Marissa did. i know he moved up into it when the SNF lead left. i don't know this new Link, but Adam was closer to what i picture the ideal to be, personally. The show is very specific about who in the cast's make-up are to be all-American BMOC and teen queens and who are slightly "off", and with all his talent, charisma, and even sex appeal, Morrison seems more "off" than "leading man juvenile" to me.
Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys.

one or both of us will want to get out.
But I also guarantee that if I don't
ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for
the rest of my life..."
I saw Adam when I saw the show, and he was phenomenal. Poor guy. This replacement doesn't look so good. I have to go back, to see Matt before he leaves. GOOD LUCK BROADWAYGUY!
Really? I didn't know Link was a Big Screaming Queen. (Said with love.) Must be revealed in the sequel.
7 years later: "Um, Trace, I have to tell you. I love you. You're my BEST FRIEND. You are the funniest person I have ever met IN MY LIFE. But I just don't love you that way. You know how Judy Garland died this week? Well, up in New York, something's happening... Sketch and Fender called and told me all about it. There's this bar, it's called the Stonewall Inn and [cue music] in the Stonewall Inn, somethin's happenin, cops were such a drag, Trace come be MY HAG!"
Of course Adam is amazing! Too bad he didn't get the role. The new guy looks too old and he scares me!
"The clothes are going to be fun to wear. Except for the gym outfit-I don't like those short shorts! I am more of a jam short kind of person, a longer short kind of guy."
