A friend just told me that she was cast in Shucked, but after the controversies (which I'm sure the mods don't want re-debated) she was replaced with The Prom's Isabelle McCalla (who I'm glad got the opportunity!).

That's probably a good thing. I watched videos of her performance in Waitress and honestly I wasn't all that impressed. She wasn't breathing properly and it was causing her to go flat on a lot of the higher notes.

She's just not talented. And I'm glad the world knows it now.

Her talent (or lack thereof) had nothing to do with her getting cancelled.

She shout belted and had nasally 2000s era vocal training. It was awful.

The timeline for this does not align with Caroline's departure. From my understanding producers where scrambling behind the scenes to find a replacement before it was announced on July 29th. The entire cast was on 6 month contracts through September and Caroline's quick departure was unexpected. Colleen stated she had been offered the role and had it rescinded because, which would of meant she would of have to of been given the at latest in early June, before from my understanding Shucked's team was even looking at potential replacements as they were 100% focused on awards season.

More likely then not it was Roxie in Chicago, as its produced by the Weissler's that also produced Waitress. First as for some reason we only had 2 stunt casts in Chicago this year, Jinx from Winter through early Spring, then Olivia Holt through June, which is abnormal for Chicago to have 6 months without a name above the marquee. Second Colleen stated it was something unexpected for her and considering she has only played and known for awkward comedic characters and has a fan base that is mostly under 18, playing the sexy vixen that is Roxie is precisely that, while Maisy is just par for the course of awkward quirky comedy.

Your friend is clueless.  This never happened -- the show this person was offered was CHICAGO.
