Another cast member has left due to a "schedule conflict"

something weird is going on behind the scenes, Stephen has been vague tweeting about drama the last few weeks

I find that very hard to believe-- both that there is drama necessitating departures and/or that the playwright is tweeting about it. These are grown-ass adults. Totally possible! but just hard to compute.

That said, I thought Rispioli was phenomenal, and its a loss for the production.

I had no idea he was a replacement when I went Saturday night and I was confused why he was stumbling over his lines so much.

Finally caught up with Between Riverside and Crazy this week.  I liked it years ago off broadway and it still holds up.

While I'm not sure it's Pulitzer material, it's very entertaining and the cast is spot on perfect!

Definitely worth a visit before it closes.

But a question - possible small SPOILER for anyone who hasn't seen it.

They mentioned the rent controlled apartment rent was $1,500.  Was it always that number or did they update it for this current revival?

I know people in rent controlled apartments paying under $300 a month - THAT is a deal!

You could get a place for $1,500 during covid!

It felt like a lot of pop culture references might have been updated.

If anyone really knows the text perhaps they can share.

Its at least a 2 bedroom, right? And its on Riverside Drive on Upper W Side. Thats at least 7k/month/$2m on market...1500/month is a steal, and sounds about right.

For the performance I want to see Between Riverside and Crazy, the only options are the last seat against the wall in the orchestra, which are labeled as "partial view."  Is it better to sit in house left or house right?  I think around 15-20% of the relevant side of the stage is cut off, and I don't know if any significant scenes happen in that area on either side.  Thank you in advance!

I’d say it’s definitely better to sit House Left versus House Right. There’s a lot of action that occurs on a heightened platform on stage left, thus making house right much more obstructed than left.
