Hoping for some help in choosing a show! I'll be in NYC for a week in January seeing a bunch of shows and I messed up the closing date of Lehman Trilogy, which is a week earlier than I thought. Looking for a show for the Wednesday night. I don't have strong feelings for any of them.
Possible options: Doubtfire, Hadestown, Little Shop of Horrors, MJ, Moulin Rouge
Currently have tickets for: Assassins, Six, Trevor, Music Man, TKAM, Jagged Little Pill, Caroline, Flying Over Sunset
I've seen most of what else is playing, either in NYC or London (Harry Potter, Hamilton, Wicked, Company etc.). Thanks!
While I can't speak for Doubtfire of MJ (besides the fact that I have seen neither and have zero interest in either), I will say that you can't go wrong with Hadestown, Little Shop of Horrors, or Moulin Rouge! All three are very solid shows.
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "
I would recommend: Hadestown, Little Shop or Mockingbird. All three are top notch.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Thank you all! I really appreciate the input, it made the decision so much easier. Since every post mentioned Hadestown and Little Shop, I flipped a coin between the two and I'm going to see Little Shop! I do have a ticket to Mockingbird, which I'm very excited about too.
