I have HBOmax and was curious to see if they were showing the theatrical or the extended director's version of the film only to find out it's not even streaming on the platform.
Well, they got the information from the official list of April streaming additions that went out to the press - see here, for example
But I couldn't tell you why it isn't actually available on the platform."
Okay, that makes sense. I am seeing that Playbill.com also posted an article bases on that list/ I am guessing that maybe the rights to stream the film on HBOmax fell through.
I would think if any streamer was going to show it it would be Paramount+, since they co-produced it with Dreamworks.

We were obviously typing out our responses at the same time. That is exactly what I thought when I first read the article, but then again, HBOmax has shown Paramount films as well: Chinatown and Barefoot in the Park are two that come to mind.
It's supposed to premiere today and it's showing on HBO in about an hour from now, which usually coincides with when they put it on Max. So I'm guessing later this evening it will be available.

Okay, now that makes more sense. It's airing on HBO and once it completes it's first airing it will be available to stream on HBOmax.

Yes, they stream films produced by other studios that are already airing on HBO such as Paramount's 'Beverly Hills Cop' franchise and Universal's 'Jaws' franchise.
