Hi, I got this verse stuck in my head and can't remember the rest of the song and therefore, the title.

Here's what I do remember:

"La la la la la, la la la, doesn't it?

La la la la la, la la la, doesn't it?"

The notes of "doesn't it" are probably D, E, F - so, a scale upwards. Also, the melody of the first line gets repeated, so the second one is (apart form the lyrics) exactly the same.
It's sung by a man and the song is more of a ballad / a thoughtful song. I think the style is more on the contemporary side, so not classical. The song that I could think of that comes closest in style is "I am my own invention" from Wonderland or maybe something from "Daddy Long Legs".

I know that's not much but maybe someone can guess what song I'm talking about. I wouldn't be surprised if it was more of a obscure one, to be honest. Any help is very much appreciated :)

It's possible you're thinking of the song "Isn't It?" from Sondheim's SATURDAY NIGHT -

This is nice, isn't it?  I mean, the music.  /This is nice, isn't it?  I mean, the band. (etc.)

Not sure if this is helpful, but the first thing I thought of was "Thank Goodness" from Wicked: "Happy is what happens when all your dreams come true. Well, isn't it?"

The OP used “la la la la” to imply lyrics he didn’t know.  He wasn’t saying those were the lyrics.

That's it! Reviewing the situation! That part right in the beginning:

"A man's got a heart, hasn't he?
Joking apart, hasn't he?"

Thank you all for your suggestions!

According to my music experience, these are the lyrics of "Backstage Babble" from Applause.   I'm not at all sure, that's just what came to mind.
