when i first moved to NYC in 1982, this was the very first Broadway production i saw that year...it was an amazing experience to see Harvey and Estelle et all...i was in love with NYC from that moment on...
Thanks for posting, though the muddy sound makes it hard for me to follow, but do I wish I knew this work as a show rather than I movie. I've read the script, but that isn't the same thing. The use of the torch singer between segments is such a smart move, and the playing of the last segment on a giant bed (at leas as per the stage directions in the published scrip) just sound fascinating. I liked the movie, just think the original work sounds more interesting.

the movie sadly had no where the impact of seeing this awesome play in person on Broadway!!
