I write this post as a retired Vietnam Era U.S. Navy service member. I have two responses. First, balderdash! Second, you dishonor the memory of all the service members who gave their lives in Vietnam when you sing the praises of a Vietnam Era DRAFT DODGER.

Check out how Bill Clinton avoided serving in the US Military during Vietnam War, have you ever sung his praises? The OP served in Vietnam also and I truly doubt he is dishonoring the memory of those who served in Vietnam. I appreciate the service you both gave your country but people can have honest differences in opinion.

There are differences in opinion and then there is intentionally trying to gaslight people unless you honestly believe the magas who attend Trump's rallies represent a valid indicator of how the general public views him and the first few dozen comments on a random youtube video if it even exists is a definitive indicator of public sentiment. I won't even get into the rest of his nonsensical assertions. And anyone who reminds me 3 times they are a veteran as a device to further their argument and give it added legitimacy makes me question whether they even are.

I believe the polls show people do not want Trump removed from office but it is not by a big margin. I just did not think the OP did dishonor to those who served even if OP exaggerated Trump support. Guess we just disagree.

Because the House passed articles of impeachment based upon a secret witness, because they denied the accused’s counsel the opportunity to cross-examine the witness, because they prohibited the President’s counsel from calling witnesses, effectively denying due process to the accused, I was interested in learning if Americans actually buy this scam. The numbers are striking. I regard Youtube commentors overall as a very accurate barometer of public sentiment since Youtube reaction correctly predicted the winner of the 2016 election, versus the so-called professional polls which blew it in predicting Clinton as an easy winner.
The numbers I counted shockingly support Trump on impeachment by a minimum of 50-1. I went on a key CNN posting on Youtube about Pelosi/impeachment. This anti-Trump CNN video had over 400,000 views and over 3000 comments. That is a sizable sampling. After counting three full pages of posts I got bored and gave up: 50-1 FOR Trump. Mirroring Trump’s support on this issue over the weekend were the tens of thousands of fans yelling “four more years” at his recent appearance at the LSU/Alabama football game, and the tens of thousands of people who normally attend his rallies. No question, Trump has wide support among a broad section of Americans, particularly on this issue.
Obviously, my conclusion is that the Democrats and their media counterparts have hugely overplayed their hand and now they cannot walk it back. And obviously, as a war veteran, I consider trashing the constitution, the document that I risked my life for, as offensive to me and insulting to the memory of the 1.6 million soldiers who died for this country. You don’t like the President? Fine. Don’t vote for him. Or conduct an impeachment in compliance with the constitution. But to disrespect our service to the country because you hate the President shows incredible lack of character.
Veteran of the war in Viet Nam"
There is something about your post that just doesn't ring true (setting aside your "analysis" regarding public sentiment for impeachment).
I have had the honor to know men and women who served their country during periods of war and conflict, dating back to WWII. That includes all four of my older brothers. The names of twelve of my friends and shipmates are inscribed on the Vietnam Memorial Wall. I have never.....never......heard any of these brave Americans refer to themselves as a "war veteran". A "veteran," yes. A "Vietnam veteran," yes. A "Vietnam-Era veteran," yes. But a "war veteran"? Nah. And yet, that's how you define yourself. I believe that calling onself a "war veteran" is what someone who isn't a "war veteran" would say.
The Amazon bio for you and your brother prominently mention that you played trumpet in high school, and that you graduated from college with a degree in Chemistry. But nothing about being a "war veteran" Nothing about serving in the military. Nothing about risking your life to defend the Constitution. Nothing about Vietnam. Military service is a defining moment in a person's life. And yet being a "war veteran" doesn't warrant even a brief mention in your bio? It is my right to decide whether I believe what you have written about yourself in this post is the truth. I don't believe it is the truth.
