Hi! My friend and I are in the early stages of creating a podcast all about The Prom. With the hype of the movie, and the upcoming tour, this is show that continues to have people excited! We are from Atlanta, where it all began, and already have some great connections at the Alliance. Ive also spoken to a handful of cast members who have said theyd give us interviews once this gets up and running. We just really want to delve into the origins of the show, and break it down bit by bit with the people who were involved in the actual process. The only downside is that we have never done a podcast, and starting one up can be very intimidating! But with the support we already have from people involved we definitely want to see where this goes. Does anyone have any podcasting advice? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I can't offer you much advice about Podcasting, but I do run a performing arts blog (link in signature) and had a special experience at this show due to my friend being a lead producer. Perhaps we could collaborate somehow...

Absolutely!! DM me! I really do think that we could see some success with this.
A website to post it on. You can make a simple one on wordpress or blogger. Or join an existing podcast site.
Tips for early episodes
Give yourself a rough episode outline (Intro, topic, Q&A) and length (30-60 minutes). Some starter podcasts like to freeform ramble and post the whole conversation. I don't recommend that.
Find a short list of other podcasts you like to listen to regularly and use as inspiration.
Sally's advice is all great, especially the outline tip. A friend's podcast became a massive hit right out of the gate because they had a clear idea, five clear segments to every episode, no rambling (until they got popular enough people literally asked for it), and a set schedule.
