The show is not completely sold out, so often times you could get lucky with a $40 rush ticket

I got rush tickets Monday and I was in A9. It seems like you get partial view with rush. I'm surprised the rush line wasn't crazy. I got there at around 830 and it was me and some other guy in line. Highly recommend rushing for this show!

I went to the box office last monday night around 8:00 PM and could still get a rush seat for the 10 pm. It was a great seat, just off to the side but on the main orchestra level and pretty close.

Lin was in the 7:00 show that night but not the 10:00. Saw him at the stage door while I was waiting to go in.. so at least I got to see him in person. ha.  The show was VERY fun. Was alot more improv comedy than I was expecting... and I mean that in a good way. Super creative.

I was coming out of Betrayal (Jacob's) at 9:45pm yesterday Saturday Oct 26 and popped my head into the box office to see if there were any last-minute tickets and got a $40 rush ticket for the 10pm performance on F4 in the Orchestra (one from the middle-right aisle), no partial view.

Amazing - as FLS always is - and Christopher Jackson + Wayne Brady made special appearances. Brady didn't come out for stage door, but Jackson+everyone else came out and everyone took their time chatting with us all, talking about Hamilton (2nd key has been at Hamilton for a while before this) and their experiences with FLS for the past few years. Had a blast and recommend rushing any time of the day, and stage dooring for some geeking-out!

Are rush seats available on two show days once the box office opens? I’m going to be in NY in a couple of weeks and getting into the city about 11 AM. Does anyone know if I’ll be able to snag a single seat in the morning for that Sunday 10 PM show? Thanks!

I think they should be, but you should also enter the lottery (you'll know the day before) because I think the Sunday 10 pm lottery is basically guaranteed (or at least I've won every time I've entered)

If you get there early, you should.  I've seen the show 4 times, once at 10p.  The surprise guests normally don't appear at the 10p.  That show is generally just the standard cast pictured in the playbill. It's still entertaining. Lin Manuel was at the 8p show last night. Spike Lee in the audience.

It's interesting you say there's generally no special guests at 10pm because I've seen it twice at 10pm and the first time we had James Monroe Iglehart and the second time we had James Monroe Iglehart and Wayne Brady so maybe it was just the time you went?

Bump.

Anyone rush this lately?  On a Saturday?  Looking to rush this tomorrow but I'm not sure how early I should line up.  It doesn't seem like it's a difficult show to rush, but I'm not sure how the holiday weekend will effect things.  Thank you in advance!

Has Lin ever appeared in the 10pm show?

He did when I saw it off-broadway in February. I know this is not the most relevant information but it did happen at least once!

How bad of a partial-view are the rush seats?

I honestly don’t think partial view really applies here. The theater is ridiculously small, and about 90 pipe I honestly don’t think partial view really applies here. The theater is ridiculously small, and about 95% Of the theater has decent sight lines. It’s not like you’re missing any real set or choreographed stage numbers. It’s all improvised and most of the time the cast is downstage center

Is FLS still show where you can walk up after box office opens and get rush tickets? I will be in town tomorrow with 2 non theater friends doing Christmas-y stuff and I am trying to sell FSL so I can sneak in something on my list.

They are enticed by $40 tix and the comedy but not sure if I want to take the risk of dragging them out of our way to Theater District selling idea of cheap tickets if there's a wait or in high demand/out of rush.

I rushed last Sunday (12/1) - arrived at 11:15, and there was only one other person in line by the time the box office opened at 12. It was supposed to snow that day, so that might have impacted it! Earlier that week (I think the Friday before), I stopped by the box office at 1:30 just because I was passing by and they were out. So, based on my experiences, if you can swing by when the box office is opening or shortly after you are probably in luck, but not hours after it opens. But anyone else might have different experiences - feel free to chime in!

Update: 12/7/19 arrived at 10:20AM and was able to get three rush tickets close together. She said it was okay as long as it was the same card. Seats A9 A11 and B11.

They gave you, 1 person, 3 tickets or you weren't alone at the box office?  Could you please give a report of how your seat's sight lines turn out to be after you attend?

I understand that but my question was specifically about the 5% of seating which is designated as partial-view since it is those being given out as rush tickets.

I arrive with my one friend so we could buy 3 total. I went first, told box office staff I was with my friend behind me and there was three people total in our group but was I buying one set of two tickets and her 1 ticket. She offered she could seat us three together. She suggested house left over house right so we wouldn't miss view the band on stage left.

Speakers blocks small upstage corner where cast takes breaks between sets when it's not their turn but 95% of show/stage is viewable from these seats. Only thing you could possibly miss if off cast member is reacting or riffing with those that are on. Fantastic seats for the price. Guy next to me in A7 paid $179. No row in front of you so great leg room, only steps to go up/down the stage plus there's a small niche where you can place bags/coats etc.

just an fyi that i won lottery to this show two weeks in a row -- 1st time 7pm show & lin was in it -- 2nd row center on the aisle .. great cast - great show ... Second time, 10pm show, this past sat night...  2nd row - dead center  -- a couple from the cast I saw the first time and others -- not nearly as good .. disappointing because I brought my teen who wants to be a hip hop music producer so I thought he'd really love it .. but so much stumbling for words .. and chris jackson was in it and really does not have this skill.  I'll leave it at that.  The audience seemed to enjoy it more than we did.
