Anyone know if this has to do with the staging or maybe just the first few rows are not on sale yet? All the seating in the orchestra starts in row D or E for any date I check.
For the London production there was a runway running down the center of the stalls (Orchestra) and there was on stage seating essentially making it almost in the round. I’m not sure if they have the ability to do all of that here on Broadway. I’m not sure how to link a photo on here but if you Google Old Vic Christmas Carol you can see a photo of the seating configuration in London.
Any updates on this? Looking at the pics from the Old Vic the Broadway production is obviously going to have a different set up, but was wondering if they might add in more seating, or on stage seating, later? Anyone heard anything? Rumors? Official word?
Anymore updates on this? Seems odd we're hearing SO little about this considering it starts performances in just a little over a month. Really curious and might see this, but would love to know if they're going to announce on stage seating last minute, or something. Or should I just go ahead and bite on what's available now? (Or should I just say forget it and see WAITRESS (which I've not yet seen) instead?!?!)
There might not be a determination til they start staging it in rehearsal. Things could also shift a bit when they get into the theatre. Be patient....they're probably still figuring out the logistics of the seating (if there IS going to be onstage seating).
The orchestra side seats opened up starting at row B a couple weeks ago and I bought one for $159. The next day, those seats changed to $299 and still are. I mean, really? They've also opened up the "front row," row D, at the $159 price. It doesn't look like seats are selling, but it's still early. I am interested in on-stage seating, but I already bought my seat because I didn't want to wait any longer.
