Claire Foy and Matt Smith to Reunite, on a Brooklyn Stage Dec 17

I saw this in London, it’s good, not great. It’s wonderful to watch those two actors work together live, it’s just the two of them on stage the entire time. It’s quite short with no interval. There is on stage seating, or at least there was in London.
A Christmas Carol Seating - Starts at row D or E? Aug 14

For the London production there was a runway running down the center of the stalls (Orchestra) and there was on stage seating essentially making it almost in the round. I’m not sure if they have the ability to do all of that here on Broadway. I’m not sure how to link a photo on here but if you Google Old Vic Christmas Carol you can see a photo of the seating configuration in London.

Welcome to the Rock from Come From Away = Pinball Wizard from Tommy. You Will Be Found from DEH = Unpretty by TLC.
The 2016 Stratford Festival production of All My Sons featured African-American actors in the roles of George and Ann Deever. Although every single person in the audience during the eight month run knew that this was absolutely not historically accurate it was still an amazing top-notch performance. I am confused as to why Miller’s estate signed off on that production and not this production with the same two roles in question. I was very excited to see this new revi
Joe Brancato is one of the worst contemporary theater directors out there these days. He seems to only work intermittently in NYC but when he does the results are atrocious. People need to stop hiring him. I feel like this would’ve been a much better piece of theater with a better director.

Most principal contracts for Wicked are 6 to 8 months long. He started performances in early summer so he’ll probably be with the show through February or March.
I saw this yesterday, it was fine, not amazing. Typical Sorkin masturbation. There is a phenomenal production of TKAM currently playing at the Stratford Festival up in Ontario. I believe it closes next week. If you’ve seen that production you can skip this Broadway version. The Stratford production uses a flashback technique with an adult Scout watching the events unfold, which was actually approved by Lee’s estate.
Rock Of Ages Tour Oct 23

I was up in Portland Maine this past weekend for a family event, and unbeknownst to us one of our cousins had purchased some tickets to the non-equity tour of Rock of Ages. I had seen the show when it transferred from off Broadway to Broadway and remembered it being fun so I decided to go along. This is definitely a non-equity production. It has a completely different concept than the original, in this version the show is set up like a rock tour so everything comes out of road boxes and r
This past weekend I overheard one of the HOH producers, not Paltrow, bragging about the fact that they had enough of an advance to run the show though January. If that's true then good on them but they've never even made their weekly nut so they're going to burn through that cash very quickly. Do we think they're getting a break on the rent? Are the GoGos waving their royalties? Maybe a tax write off?

Her body suit is custom-made by Eric Winterling’s shop in New York City. It is a stretch power netting that is died to match her make up. The neck and wrist openings are not finished so they blend in with her skin and the rest of the seams are made on a special machine so they are not visible. It has to be hand washed after every performance, she has two that she rotates and they wear out very quickly.
Is there a standby/understudy listed for Satine? I'm not saying this to be snarky or start an argument but Olivio is out quite often and there is a good chance her cover will be going on a lot.
Does anyone know why Randy Danson isn't in the production anymore? She was there when rehearsals started in February but now she seems to have been replaced by a different actress. Ms. Danson is a favorite of mine and is one of the reasons why I booked tickets.
SAINT JOAN (2018) Previews Apr 4

I was at the first preview as well. I agree that it looks like they just had a free-for-all in the rehearsal hall. This production is definitely all about the set. It overwhelms everything, even Shaw’s language. There was a phenomenal production of Saint Joan done at the Shaw Festival last season, if anyone saw that production you can definitely skip this one.
Last evening’s invited dress rehearsal ran 3 hours and 40 minutes including a 20 minute intermission and 1 stop for technical difficulties. I’m assuming tonight’s first preview will be much shorter.
So, this was just on PBS a few nights ago...where we can all watch it for free, do they really expect people to pay $160 to see this on Broadway? It's only a 6 week run, even if the running costs are minimal how can they make any money? Other than the website and initial press release has there been any advertising? This has tax write off written all over it.
This is bringing back so many random memories from almost 10 years ago!
I'm remembering that:
Alex Brightman, now of School of Rock fame, was an understudy for Glory Days. As he tells it, they (not sure who "they" are) were considering firing Jesse JP Johnson and replacing him with Brightman. This has never been corroborated by anyone else ever. But interestingly Brightman and Johnson both went on to play Boq in Wicked at various points. <
I was dating someone involved with the production at the time and had to sit through a couple of previews as well as the awkward opening/closing night. The party that followed that performance was also awkward because half the people there knew that the show had closed prematurely and half of them didn't.
The show absolutely had no reason to be on Broadway. The two main producers had been associate producers on other projects and wanted to make
