WAITRESS buy one get one for $3 deal

I got an email from Waitress the Musical and Broadway Box doing a deal for forth of July, buy one ticket get one for $3, $3!! This also isnt the first time they had a deal like this and the arent doing that good on Broadway. I wonder if we will soon see a closing notice

It's just a fancy way to sell half price tickets in advance, rather than wait for TKTS. Get them committed early rather than consider other shows while they wait in line...

I think it's just a special summer deal. They just announced a new Jenna. If they were planning on closing, I'd think the most opportune time to announce that would have been when Shoshana Bean announced her final performance. I think it will continue its run. I don't see a summer closing.

I have a feeling Sara Bareilles wants to end the show with herself (ie Dave Malloy in The Great Comet), so maybe after Alison Luff finishes her run, they might announce Bareilles and then a closing (maybe at the same time?).

As this is basically one of my favorite shows I don’t want to speculate about a closing date anytime soon. I’m pretty sure they always have a summer deal.
