I understand, but at the same time, you shouldn't assume people are oblivious to what is happening. If I asked about tickets, don't you think I would've seen previous comments about the problems people have with Sparks? People should never assume that. Just...think about it. That's all.

I think the Michael Jackson/Wheeldon/Nottage is far, far worse. That's a musical property designed to make money for an estate, to continue monetizing the brand of a person accused of abusing children for decades.

In this case, Sparks hasn't had any role in the musical, isn't part of the creative or producing team.

Yeah I’m aware, but you can also think about your response as well. If I’m asking a simple question about tickets, do you truly, honestly think it had to become this big thing? No, it didn’t, but hey I got my answer so I’m over this,

I think the distinction here is that you start A thread not YOUR thread. Once you hit Submit, it is out of your hands. At least you got an answer, that isn't always the case...

Wait - we're supposed to assume what you or anyone else knows or read?  Ridiculous.  You keep telling US to think about what we've posted - but maybe it's you that needs to think how you take things in.   If it's info you already have, IGNORE the comments about it.   People aren't just speaking to you - in fact, they almost never are addressing only one person.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I thought you were "done" 24 hours ago?  But, now, you're, like, over it? Cool.

It's funny you keep replying in this thread. People can talk about whatever they want, you don't own the thread, and if this has gotten you all bent out of shape, I don't think this is really the place for you. My good friend in the industry offered me a ticket to this, I passed knowing Sparks' history.  Enjoy your day sweetie.

okay im only coming back to this thread because I have a genuine question for people like haterobics. Do you ever stop for one second to think about how your words on here impact people? This being online is absolutely no excuse to treat people like garbage or make them feel that way. Did you not see what happened with Alex Brightman and Beetlejuice? Words online hurt just as much as those said to someone’s face. What don’t you understand about this? Longevity on the boards....how old you are....I don’t care-there’s no excuse for treating someone like garbage or escalating something where it wasn’t necessary. I’ve seen too many people say they don’t like these boards because of how toxic they are and instead of saying “well then stay off them” how about you post POSITIVE things to people? Don’t make them feel like all they can do is lurk here while the “worthy” ones post whatever they want. Get over yourselves and learn how to be nice for goodness sakes. Maybe I’m the lucky one who escalated things, but it doesn’t matter. We can start over, make nice and make these boards  a pleasant experience. Try it I promise it won’t hurt.

K now I really am done. Bye.

Was your former username on here theatrelyfe19? Because you are acting EXACTLY like they did - selfish, bossy, and childish.

The things you try to bring up in the post don't seem to fit this thread. I thought it was people voicing their opinions? Something you seem to take issue with. You might take umbrage with this whole board if you have issues with the way people are responding. Nothing other then "Please Delete" is out of line in this thread.

Not in a way that you would likely agree with since no one is personally attacking you here?

You asked a question that offended no one. Someone gave you an answer. And then a discussion happened that veered away from your original intent, which you then try to shut down, divert, or make go away.

The easiest way to make any thread disappear on BWW is silence. This would be on page 3 or 4 by now otherwise...

magictodo123 said: "This being online is absolutely no excuse to treat people like garbage or make them feel that way."

Poking fun at your attempts to micromanage a message board thread are not a personal attack, let alone what you describe above.

magictodo123 said: "Did you not see what happened with Alex Brightman and Beetlejuice?"

Someone threatened him if he came out of the stage door? I'm not making the connection here.

magictodo123 said: "there’s no excuse for ...escalating something where it wasn’t necessary."

Humor is always a valid reason to reply. I understand you don't find this humorous, of course.

magictodo123 said: "I’ve seen too many people say they don’t like these boards because of how toxic they are and instead of saying “well then stay off them”"

BWW is a bit of a mindset, and I really get a lot of value from the boards. People who find it toxic are often used to more validating and maniacally moderated Facebook groups that run more like echo chambers. I like the pushback. I like being called out. I like being challenged. And when I first joined here, I got a lot of pushback for asking newbie things, and pushed through a lot of overwrought nonsense from the grizzled veterans (and stuck around long enough to now be considered one), but I think it was a worthwhile endeavor. It has challenged me to explore shows I wouldn't have otherwise, consider viewpoints I hadn't, and of course, find humor in things that some people do not.

I don't have an issue with positivity. I also don't think anything in this thread was negativity. It was neutral folly.

If it makes you hesitate before starting a new thread in the future, then it will put you where I am every time before clicking New Post. What I am opening myself up to here? Can I get this info on my own? Am I about to get pummeled? Is there already a thread where this belongs?

Basically, the site traffics in value, so if I'm not providing it, it is best to avoid it. Because once I click Submit, I no longer control this...

I adore you and you never make people on here feel like garbage. The fact that the OP changed the thread name, quite literally, 10 times is incredibly funny.  She was done two days ago, then yesterday, but today she is, like, REALLY done. I will never stop laughing.  Thank you for this magical gift on a Friday afternoon. The offended-by-everything-25-and-unders on this board are giving me LIFE.

I saw a movie recently and was disappointed that the storyline was not what I expected. I might stay away from seeing any more movies.
