Macy's has just announced its plans for their 92nd Thanksgiving Parade, but I didn't see any mention of what Broadway shows are planning to perform (aside from the annual appearence of the Radio City Rockettes). Check out the plans at this site: http://www.macysparadepress.com/.
My guess is that Frozen, Mean Girls, Head Over Heels and My Fair Lady is going to perform this year for the Herald Square crowd. What's your guesses and comments? Feel free to respond.
Out of curiosity, is it the NBC producers who decide who is performing? I would imagine every show would want the publicity, assuming they could pay for the actors to perform.

Thanks to your suggestion, my guesses is now Frozen, The Prom, Mean Girls, Head Over Heels and My Fair Lady for the Macy's Parade performances. I think CBS may showcase The Band's Visit, Once on This Island and Summer on their parade coverage.
I'm hoping for The Prom since it could really use the publicity. Mean Girls and Frozen for sure, although I hope Mean Girls will perform something better than that mashup at the Tony's to show how funny that show is. The Cher Show, probably. I'm hoping that The Band's Visit will have a slot on CBS because I don't think the show will translate well into a big open space like the parade.
Has the Macy’s parade every seen repeat performances? For either the NBC or CBS telecasts? I’d love to see wicked perform, but I doubt it.
I think mean girls is obvious for nbc, because of the Tina Fey/Lorne Michaels connection. Frozen might. What’s the history on Disney shows performing on the telecast? Once on this island performed last year on nbc, so maybe they’ll do CBS this year. I’d also prefer to see The Bands Visit perform on CBS. My Fair Lady should perform on NBC and previous Bart shows have done so. I doubt head over heels has the money to perform with an angel investor or not. I could also see the prom perform.

Sorry to bump, but it seems like Mean Girls might be performing "Stop"? Saw on a cast members Instagram that they were recording the tap sounds for the parade?
I think you're right! I'm pretty excited about Fearless, I think it's one of the shows stronger numbers and it really captures the energy of the show!!

Beauty and the Beast also performed."
Oh yeah! Forgot about that one!"
It’s certainly easy to forget, unfortunately! ‘Gaston’ isn’t the first song that comes to mind with Beauty and the Beast. It was a bit of an odd choice. (Though the chorus line of clinking cups is entertaining!)
It's about time Head Over Heels performs somewhere. They're pumping money into this show but haven't bothered to promote it with a single performance anywhere. They didn't even perform at Broadway in Bryant Park.

Mean Girls is doing Fearless, I think Summer is doing Hot Stuff (as previously mentioned). I would imagine Dear Evan Hansen doing You Will Be Found, but I think that's what they did last time so not sure. Head Over Heels will for sure do one of the well-known songs, I think "We Got the Beat" would be the best, with all the dancing.
